Seawings expands to meet rising wave of new business
Seawings, a Dubai charter company whose fleet is based on three Cessna 208 Caravans, plans to add another aircraft to its fleet and operate from a central Dubai City location.

Seawings, a Dubai charter company whose fleet is based on three Cessna 208 Caravans, plans to add another aircraft to its fleet and operate from a central Dubai City location.

Offering up to eight flights a day, Seawings has been operating from Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa. "Future plans include operating from the Dubai Creek which is five minutes drive from the city's airport," the company says. It plans to add a fourth seaplane to its fleet by May 2008.

Seawings has built up business based on demand for sightseeing over Dubai's dramatic and ever-changing coastline but it also reports rising corporate entertainment, staff incentive and site inspection demand.

The company says: "Our seaplanes are outfitted with extra wide and comfortable leather seating. The Caravans are robustly constructed with a seating capacity of nine in total so that each seat has a window view. Each flight cruises at 1,500 feet, giving passengers a bird's eye view of the landmarks." Jet-Ops FZE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dubai-based Air Charter International Group, holds the UAE AOC and operates the aircraft on behalf of Seawings.
