Fleet modernisation pays off for Aero-Dienst
Aero-Dienst reports that the ongoing modernising of its fleet with the recent addition of a Falcon 900EX and a Learjet 45XR is paying business dividends.

Aero-Dienst reports that the ongoing modernising of its fleet with the recent addition of a Falcon 900EX and a Learjet 45XR is paying business dividends. "The 15-seater 900EX is very popular and its range of up to 4,500 n.m. gives us a lot of scope for both medium and long haul charter flights," says joint ceo Martin Bauer.

The 45XR is configured for up to eight passengers. "Both aircraft are approved for the so-called 'steep approach' so they can fly, for example, to the centrally located London City Airport," adds Oliver Weissenberger, joint ceo. "New jets are replacing older models but we are keeping the company fleet number at eight aircraft."

Part of the Aero-Dienst fleet is also used for air ambulance flights. Bauer says: "2008 is a significant year: the company will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Our AOC D-002 confirms that we are Germany's oldest business jet operator." The construction of the new third maintenance hangar is scheduled to be completed by the summer. "It will give sufficient room for Aero-Dienst's own fleet and for client aircraft from around the world," says Bauer.

Aero-Dienst has just become an authorised service centre for aircraft including the 900EX and 900EX EASy. "All line and maintenance work on these two aircraft can now be carried out in Nuremberg," Bauer confirms.
