Saudi Arabia has ordered five King Air 350Cs for medevac work throughout the kingdom. Deliveries of the aircraft, to be based in Riyadh, will begin in mid-2008. "We evaluated a number of aircraft around the world for this mission and no other aircraft available could meet our needs for operations in and out of unimproved airports with the loads the King Air 350 can carry," said Maj. Gen. Hamad Hassoun, director of medevac for the Ministry of Defense and Aviation.

The B350C is the cargo version of the aircraft which includes a wide cargo door that ensures stretcher patients can be positioned in the aircraft with ease. The aircraft are to be fitted with LifePort stretcher systems.
