Austrian vintage aircraft enthusiasts, The Flying Bulls, have a new acquisition: a Bo105C, one of two which are being prepared for aerobatic displays. The Bulls believe that the sturdy, manoeuvrable Bo105, commonly used in films and stunts is, properly prepared, as capable of aerobatics as fixed wing aircraft.

Although the Bo105 model dates from the 1970s, it is still operated in more than more than 35 countries, where it is a popular choice in rescue and offshore operations.

The Flying Bulls bought its latest Bo105 from Gerald Burgdorff, of Rainbow Helicopters, who regularly hired it to film crews. The sale has enabled him to replace it with a "stretched" version. "This will give clients much more leg room and make it more convenient for filming," says Burgdorff. "

In July, the Bulls, made a more modern addition to its fleet, a Eurocopter EC135 which will be used for private and promotional flights.
