NetJets Europe takes 100th aircraft - and eyes more
NetJets has taken delivery of its 100th aircraft - a Hawker 800XP. The new plane, one of 27 Hawker 800XPs in the fleet, is a mid-size jet, capable of flying six passengers in comfort on journeys up to 6,000km or a flight from London to Athens.

Mark Booth, chairman and ceo of NetJets Europe says: "It is just one of the 30 new aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2006 - an investment of $450 million in the NetJets Europe fleet." The new Hawker 800XP will have a temporary custom-made placard next to the entry door inscribed with the words 'NetJets 100 Europe'. Booth adds: "The surge in demand for NetJets' planes, and subsequent demand for new business jets, has come both from buyers of the fractional ownership programme and the NetJets card programmes." Private jet prices start at just #85,000 for 25 hours of occupied flying time. NetJets' fleet of 100 jets is comprised of aircraft from Cessna, Dassault, Gulfstream and Raytheon. Deliveries are set to increase that number to a total fleet size of 119. This is one-third up on the 89 aircraft that made up the fleet at the beginning of this year. Booth says that NetJets' clients now number more than 1,000, with over 400 new customers added in the last year. "We are delighted to reach the 100th aircraft milestone as we continue to grow to meet the needs of our expanding customer base." NetJets Europe was founded in 1996.
