FlightSafety will provide Mustang training
Cessna Aircraft Company, which displayed a Citation Sovereign at the static display area of BGAD05, has selected FlightSafety International to provide initial type training for the company’s six-seat Mustang very light jet (VLJ).

Cessna Aircraft Company, which displayed a Citation Sovereign at the static display area of BGAD05, has selected FlightSafety International to provide initial type training for the company’s six-seat Mustang very light jet (VLJ).

Said Roger Whyte, Cessna senior vp of sales and marketing: “The selection of FlightSafety is the extension of a mutually beneficial relationship that has existed for more than three decades.”

Following the design and construction of two motion-based Level ‘D’ flight simulators and two avionics flight training devices, training will take place at FlightSafety’s Farnborough, England, and Wichita, Kansas, facilities.

Explaining the chose of locations, Whyte commented: “Due to the large number of overseas orders, it was determined that the location for training close to the customer was an absolute must.”

Cessna anticipates FAA certification for the twin-engine Citation Mustang in the second half of 2006.
