Axis Aviation meets new demand with San Marino AOC
Axis has identified a desire for more charter and aircraft management options and the San Marino AOC ensures it can meet this demand effectively while also positioning for sustainable growth.
Accountable manager Kerstin Mumenthaler and Niall Olver, chairman of AXIS Aviation.

Axis Aviation has gained an AOC in San Marino, its third after Switzerland and Austria.

The aircraft management business selected the San Marino registry due to its international standards of safety, reliability and efficiency. Becoming certified will enable it to streamline operations, meet new demand for aviation solutions and offer a well-connected location in central Europe with a favourable business landscape and reputation for regulatory compliance.

Axis is reported to have already placed its first aircraft, a Learjet 31A, on the San Marino registry, after implementing all aviation protocols to introduce new aircraft into service. It has assembled a team on the ground in San Marino and will also continue to work with its existing teams in Switzerland and Austria.

Chairman Niall Olver says: “Joining the San Marino registry is a strategic decision that ensures we build on our exciting growth trajectory, offering regulatory compliance, market access, global recognition and opportunities for expansion. Drawing on client feedback and our own market research, we have identified a growing desire for increased options when it comes to charter, aircraft management and other aviation-related services. By obtaining an AOC in San Marino, we can meet this demand effectively while also positioning ourselves for sustainable growth.”
