Rosen brings refinements to in-seat audio
Immersive audio will be part of Rosen's Personally Optimised-Real Time-Augmented Luxury product, that includes digital windows and skylights, curved IFE display, hologram controller and a smart cupholder.

Rosen Aviation has launched a revolutionary in-seat audio system for commercial, VIP and business aviation cabins, bringing a new level of fidelity and spatiality along with active noise cancellation. The immersive experience will be part of Rosen's PO-RT-AL (Personally Optimised-Real Time-Augmented Luxury) passenger experience demo, which includes digital windows and skylights, curved carbon composite IFE display, hologram controller and a smart cupholder.

Partnering with audio engineer Laurence Dickie, co-founder of Vivid Audio and designer of the Nautilus loudspeaker, Rosen brings a true audiophile experience to the world of aviation. The audio system leverages newly patented technologies in sound wave propagation to produce life-like sound and music that accurately recreates tone, timbre and spatiality for an engaging and authentic experience.

Rosen notes that essence of its system relies on simply getting the foundation right and that high quality audio systems are not simply software add-ons that can be applied to any speaker or amplifier. Just like fine dining, Rosen focuses on the finest ingredients, well prepared and minimally processed, to always deliver the most enjoyable experience.

Lee Clark, senior vice president strategy, says: "The steady increase in demand for truly high-end audio has been gaining momentum in commercial and VIP aviation over the past decade, and we now have a truly unique approach that offers passengers a next-level experience. Existing solutions are still far from what customers can experience in their car, let alone at home, and Rosen's system represents a culmination of hardware and software that will ultimately create a new paradigm in inflight audio capabilities."

Rosen's PO-RT-AL passenger experience demo at AIX 2024 in Hamburg, Germany on 28-30 May is by appointment only, and the company encourages interested parties to reach out to schedule a meeting.
