MRO Japan, a Part 145 based in Okinawa, has commenced aircraft maintenance services for an Airbus Corporate Jet 318 operated by Comlux under EASA certification standards. This is the first time heavy maintenance, including base maintenance, has been conducted in Japan under EASA regulations.

The ACJ318 is registered in Malta and owned by Universal Entertainment Corp, a Japan-based manufacturer of arcade games. It is based at Clark International airport in the Philippines.

MRO Japan was selected for maintenance services by Comlux in November 2022 following its EASA certification in October. The current project with Comlux marks a significant step forward for the company, as it expands its capabilities to serve international airlines and conduct maintenance for business jets.

The company is strategically located at Naha airport, situated at the heart of east Asia.
