MDH finds parts refurb path with Able
One of many actions MDH is taking to improve aftermarket support, this cooperation with Able Aerospace will allow it to reduce overhaul costs and prices by repairing and refurbishing corroded or pitted parts.
MD Helicopters is now offering Able Aerospace parts.

MD Helicopters (MDH) is collaborating with Able Aerospace Services to provide expanded repairs on major components used in the repair and overhaul of MDH gearboxes and hub assemblies. This cooperation is one of many actions MDH is taking to improve aftermarket support, and will allow it to reduce its overhaul costs and prices by repairing and refurbishing corroded or pitted parts. It will also increase MDH's availability of reconditioned assemblies, improve availability of exchange units and allow the return of specific serial numbers to customers sooner.

“Able Aerospace specialises in rotorcraft component refurbishment. It has a long history of supporting MD Helicopters, and it is located just a few miles away in Mesa, Arizona, which makes working together very convenient and efficient,” says vice president, aftermarket sales and support Ryan Weeks. “Able's expanded repairs for main rotor hubs and gearboxes will significantly reduce the time and cost of repairing and overhauling those assemblies.”

“Able's commitment to high quality and component reliability, combined with our innovative, cost-effective repair and development of overhaul solutions provide an unmatched value to our customers,” adds Travis Tyler, vice president and general manager of Able Aerospace Services. “We look forward to the opportunity to support MD Helicopters and its customers.”
