Kenai takes second Traveller to Alaska
The aircraft's TKS de-icing capabilities and robust design allow Kenai to provide reliable and on-time service to communities in Alaska's challenging weather environment.
Tecnam hands over P2012 Traveller at Sun 'n Fun aerospace expo to Kenai Aviation for service in Alaska.

Kenai Aviation has added a second Tecnam Traveller to its fleet. After the first aircraft pickup at the 2022 Sun n Fun Expo, Kenai Aviation, an Alaskan charter, flightseeing and flight training provider, has been operating the P2012 Tecnam Traveller since April 2022.

The P2012 Traveller has exceeded the needs of Kenai's aviation operations in Alaska. The high level of customer satisfaction on the routes flown also testifies the well-matched pairing between the aircraft and the operator. This second aircraft acquisition allows Kenai Aviation to double frequencies and better serve the local Alaskan communities.

The Traveller, which comfortably seats nine passengers with one or two crew, is a new generation, turbocharged, twin-engine, high wing, fixed-wing aircraft. Its addition to Kenai Aviation's fleet provides customers with cost-effective and diverse configuration options, while still delivering the experience that discerning travellers expect, such as premium interiors, in-seat power, superior legroom and under-seat stowage.

The aircraft's TKS de-icing capabilities and robust design allow Kenai to provide reliable and on-time service to communities in Alaska's challenging weather environment.

Joel Caldwell, Kenai Aviation CEO and owner says: “We have finally found an aircraft that is perfectly suited for our commuter markets in the state of Alaska. The P2012, designed specifically to meet the needs of our scheduled commuter markets in south central Alaska, has exceeded our expectations.”
