Luxaviation will connect Europe's regional AAMs with Edeis
Luxaviation and Edeis are to facilitate green operations across Europe's network of FBOs and, soon, vertiports, as both companies believe that regional routes will be the first connections to benefit from projected AAMs.
Edeis VP strategy and development Olivier Galzi, with a colleague and Luxaviation chief strategy officer Christophe Lapierre.

Luxaviation has joined forces with France-based airport management company Edeis to develop AAM for regional airports and cities. They will combine their operational expertise, commercial networks, engineering experience and regulatory insights to build on existing facilities and launch decarbonised aviation services across their networks.

The agreement allows Edeis to continue playing its role as a connection between territories and players, demonstrating the advantages of an integration of regional mobility into the environment. A regional, clean and sustainable air transport is in sight, placing regional airports at a critical and prominent position. They will once again become what they used to be at the beginning of air travel; an economic driving force for local businesses, a beating heart for cities and a formidable lever of development for an entire region.

Today 85 per cent of European air traffic is predominantly serviced from 43 of its 2,570 airports, and 90 per cent of the population must travel 120 km to board an aircraft. Edeis VP strategy and development Olivier Galzi says: “This partnership is meant to be a lever to promote the future of a sustainable inter-regional mobility.”
