NATA nears the 400 mark for Safety 1st certificates
The Safety 1st Clean self-certification process provides FBOs with an enhanced infectious disease response cleaning standard and allows them to highlight their conformance by displaying the Safety 1st Clean logo.

NATA has announced that 396 locations are now NATA Safety 1st Clean self-certified. The Safety 1st Clean standard relies upon industry expertise, the latest operational best practices and government agency guidance to safeguard aviation business personnel, corporate assets and the general flying public.

“Never has there been a more crucial time to protect the health and safety of our customers, personnel and the general public,” states NATA senior VP Ryan Waguespack. “For aviation businesses, our success in those efforts is dependent on an industry-wide adherence to facility cleaning protocols and clear communication. It is imperative for every aviation business across the supply chain to be all-in on demonstrating and communicating heightened standards and protocols.”

The Safety 1st Clean self-certification process provides FBOs with an enhanced infectious disease response cleaning standard and allows them to highlight their conformance by displaying the Safety 1st Clean logo. Upon completing the self-certification checklist, an FBO can send it and other required documentation to NATA to receive the Safety 1st Clean logo.

“We are pleased to see the Safety 1st Clean standard continue to gain traction across the industry and throughout the world,” Waguespack continues. “With new COVID-19 variant strains and travel restrictions on the horizon, we want to remind our members and the industry that the Safety 1st Clean standard is a great complement to their own rigorous cleaning and disinfection protocols and programmes that are already in place.”
