NATA celebrates fifty certification sign-ups
The Safety 1st Clean self-certification process allows FBOs to highlight their conformance by displaying the Safety 1st Clean logo. NATA is very pleased that 50 companies have self-certified since the June launch.

NATA has announced that 50 companies have self-certified in its Safety 1st Clean since its inception in mid June. The Safety 1st Clean standard relies upon industry expertise, the latest operational best practices and government agency guidance to safeguard aviation business personnel, corporate assets and the general flying public.

“We are very pleased to see how quickly Safety 1st Clean is gaining traction across the industry and throughout the world, with locations in Canada, Singapore and Australia among the first to adopt the standard. We are confident that even more locations will realise the immense value in using Safety 1st Clean to confirm their own heightened standards in cleaning and disinfecting during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond,” states NATA senior VP Ryan Waguespack.

“We appreciate the collaboration between its safety committee and COVID task force in working to provide this free guidance on facility cleaning, disinfecting and facility operations in response to the ongoing pandemic. With the assistance of our dedicated members and stakeholders, NATA is constantly monitoring the situation to ensure our members and the industry at-large are equipped with the appropriate information and guidance on which they and their customers can rely upon,” adds president and CEO Timothy Obitts.

The Safety 1st Clean self-certification process allows FBOs to highlight their conformance by displaying the Safety 1st Clean logo. Upon completing the self-certification checklist, an FBO can send it and other required documentation outlined in the document to NATA to receive the logo. A list of Safety 1st Clean locations can be found on the NATA website.
