Alrosa Airlines has taken delivery of two Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters manufactured by Kazan Helicopter Plant. The machines will fly in the Russian Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters that were delivered under this contract are intended for the carriage of goods and passengers, as well as for duty on the ambulance programme. The helicopters are equipped with landing seats for 23 passengers, but seats have been prepared for the subsequent equipping of the cabin with a medical module and passenger seats. In addition, the machines have been modified for the installation of an external suspension and an onboard boom with a winch. The Mi-8MTV-1 is capable of carrying external loads with a maximum weight of up to four tons, depending on the flight range, altitude of landing sites above sea level, air temperature and other factors.

Kazan’s Mi-8MTV-1 multi-purpose helicopters are designed to be used in almost all climate conditions. The design and equipment makes it possible to operate it autonomously based on unequipped sites.
