ABS Bratislava base approved for full scale FBO services
ABS Jets is now able to offer FBO services from Bratislava, where it has a 2,300 sqm hangar, its own tools, luxury vehicles for transporting guests to and from aircraft, a crew lounge and eight local team members.
Ten years after setting up its Bratislava base, EASA Part 145 approved ABS Jets is now providing FBO services there.

Prague and Bratislava-based business jet operator ABS Jets has been approved by the authorities to provide full scale FBO services at Bratislava airport in Slovakia. ABS Jets has operated in Bratislava since 2009, supervising business aviation ground handling services.

This marks 10 years since ABS Jets established its Bratislava base to support its own fleet and supervise VIP handling services for private jet operators. The company leverages knowledge of the local market and its fully equipped facilities, which include a 2,300 sqm hangar, its own tools, luxury vehicles for transporting guests to and from aircraft, a crew lounge area and support from eight Bratislava-based team members.

Ground ops director Michal Pazourek says: “We have worked very closely with the Bratislava airport authority to bring our existing ground handling services and long-term expertise to commercial operations. Our goal now is to obtain the highest level of internationally recognised IS-BAH certification, which we achieved at our Prague base.”

As well as comprehensive FBO services, the ABS Jets base in Bratislava provides line maintenance support to business jet operators and owners of Embraer Legacy 600/650, Embraer Phenom 100/300, Gulfstream 650 and Gulfstream 550 aircraft. Technical support can be extended to nearby Vienna airport, if required, or other airports, depending on available staff.

Last but not least, ABS Jets also arranges ground handling services at all other Czech and Slovak airports where it does not have an official presence, namely Brno, Karlovy Vary, Ostrava, Vodochody, Kunovice, Košice, Sliač, Žilina and Piešťany.
