Stockton receives Jet Ranger X for blue light work
A recently-delivered Bell 505 Jet Ranger X will support officers on the ground during day-to-day operations for the Stockton Police Department in California. The aircraft includes a loudhailer and Trakka beam searchlight.
The Stockton Police Department says that its Bell 505 Jet Ranger X will fly during the busiest times of the busiest days.

The Stockton Police Department in California has taken delivery of a law enforcement-configured Bell 505 Jet Ranger X.

“The aircraft and aircrew's primary mission and focus are to support the officers on the ground during day-to-day patrol operations,” says public information officer Joe Silva. “Our Bell 505 will fly during the busiest hours of the busiest days.”

Bell's executive VP of commercial business Susan Griffin adds: “The Bell 505 has excelled in the parapublic sector since we first introduced the aircraft to the market, and customers are thrilled with the aircraft's exceptional performance and ease of handling. We are proud to deliver an aircraft to support the men and women of the Stockton Police Department and other law enforcement agencies around the world.”

The law enforcement configuration includes high skid gear and forward/aft hard points for mounting equipment as well as a 15" monitor with moving map system, loudhailer, MX-10 EO/IR sensor and Trakka beam searchlight.

The aircraft can reach speeds of up to 125 kts and has a useful load of 1,500 lbs.
