Heron's Falcon 900LX given the nod for London City
The steep approach to London City airport is particularly challenging and requires individual aircraft approval. Heron's Falcon 900LX has now been added to the list.

German operator Heron Aviation's Falcon 900LX has been granted steep approach approval for London City airport. With this approval, Heron is certified to perform the particularly unique approach required to bring passengers to the UK capital's financial district.

The 2012 aircraft, which joined Heron's fleet at the end of last year, features factory direct winglets, a 14-passenger layout, in-flight entertainment system and a well-appointed galley. ILS CAT II/IIIa capability gives the aircraft all-weather access, and allows the jet to take off and land in demanding conditions.

“With this new authorisation, Heron Aviation further expands the capabilities of its in-house charter fleet,” says accountable manager Martin Helbling. “When our client requested this approach certification, we immediately mobilised the appropriate resources and reached out to our contacts in the authorities in both the UK and Germany in order to obtain this very important approval. This is another demonstration of Heron Aviation’s relentless dedication to customer satisfaction, and I’m pleased that charter customers around the globe can benefit from this authorisation as well.”
