2Excel Aviation, headquartered at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, UK, is adding two VIP Boeing 737s to its fleet. The aircraft will be operated by subsidiary company BroadSword and will be based at London Stansted. BroadSword has grown rapidly from having one King Air 200 six years ago to now flying five King Air 200s, a Citation M2 and the two B737s.

“Having watched the VIP airline market closely for some time, we believe that early 2018 is the right time to introduce these aircraft on to 2Excel's AOC,” says head of BroadSword George Offer. “We purchased the B737 with winglets in September 2017, and they can be configured for either 56 or 62 business class passengers. They will be based in the Diamond Hangar at London Stansted airport.”

The aircraft will be targeted at sports teams, blue chip companies, large music groups and events companies. “We are very proud and enthusiastic about this project and our strategy is to build relationships and maintain a strong, trustworthy partnership with brokers and clients,” Offer adds.

Following a recruitment drive, the operator already has a full complement of flight and cabin crew in place along with a global AOC. Subsidiary company 2Excel Engineering at Lasham near Farnborough will handle all MRO requirements.

The operator will be bringing one of its B737s to the ACE18 show at London Biggin Hill airport in September, along with a King Air.
