Solenta invests in Rusada software for smoother CAMO

Johannesburg-based ACMI operator Solenta Aviation has selected engineering and maintenance software from Rusada to support airworthiness management across its 45-strong fleet.

Solenta will use Rusada's Envision nGen technology in its CAMO depart-ment before rolling out additional functionality for procurement, logistics stock management, produc-tion and personnel scheduling and training, as part of a five-year agreement. The company operates several regional cargo routes on behalf of DHL, missions for the Red Cross and passenger flights for regional airlines and the oil and gas industry across Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean using a fleet that includes Caravans, Beech 1900s and Let 410s.

MD Mike Gaylard says: “Providing a first-class service for our customers while delivering the highest standard of safety is our primary focus. As the requirements of our customers and regulators evolved, we recognised that our existing tools wouldn't deliver the flexibility and agility we need as our operations grow.”

Rusada's Julian Stourton adds: “During the technology review, Mike and his team exposed limitations in the legacy system that would mean reporting, situational awareness and operational optimisation would become increasingly difficult as the airline's operation expanded.

“Because of its modular approach, Envision nGen integrates a number of previously disparate processes into a single platform that enables a more responsive, agile environment.”

Initial installation is due to take place this month and full scope implementation across the entire organisation is expected by mid 2019.
