French rotary operator Heli-Union has recently delivered two AW139 helicopters to its base in Gabon, Africa. Founded in 1961, the company is also active in Cameroon and supports drilling missions for Shell in Tanzania.

“The oil and gas sector has been challenging, but we are determined to seize new market opportunities while maintaining high safety standards,” says marketing manager Nadiavera Tjhin. “We are currently working on introducing newer heavy medium types such as the H175 and AW189, and another one of our activities is providing extensive helicopter maintenance services, with the French government as our main client.” Heli-Union's maintenance hangars are located at Toussus-le-Noble and Pau airports. Its main hangar at Toussus-le-Noble has a surface area of 5,000 sqm and employs more than 100 engineers.

The operator is also responsible for training pilots, and has a flight school at Angouleme airport.
