Final assembly work on Pilatus' first PC-24 customer aircraft is advancing; the fuselage and wings of the first series-built PC-24 were joined together at Pilatus' Stand facility on 12 July. Series production is being accelerated to ensure that prompt deliveries of the first customer aircraft can go ahead immediately after certification, which is scheduled for the final quarter of 2017.

The flight test programme for Bombardier's Global 7000 has passed 500 hours. With three test vehicles in flight testing and two more to join shortly, the programme is on track to meet the aircraft's targeted entry into service in the second half of 2018.

Garmin has unveiled enhancements and an expanded feature set for the Garmin Pilot application on Apple and Android mobile devices. New for Android, Garmin Pilot customers can access synthetic vision and pilot-configurable checklists within the app.

DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, the joint venture between DC Aviation Group and Al-Futtaim, is now offering its private and business clients jet fuel from its FBO in Dubai South at Al Maktoum International airport.

Jurmala in Latvia will host the VI Baltic Business Aviation Forum on 10 August. The forum will comprise a conference, a tour of Riga airport and an evening reception for all guests and participants in a chalet on the private beach of the Baltic Beach Hotel.

As a result of repairs to its runway, Vilnius International airport will be closed from 13 July to 17 August. The entire infrastructure and the majority of flights will be temporarily moved to the nearest airport of Kaunas.

During the second quarter of 2017, Embraer delivered 24 jets to the business aviation market: four Phenom 100s, 12 Phenom 300s, four Legacy 450s, three Legacy 500s and one Legacy 650. The segment delivered five large jets more than in the second quarter of 2016, although in total the company delivered two units less in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same period in 2016. On June 30, Embraer's firm order backlog totalled US$18.5 billion.

Cobham Satcom has expanded its Aviator portfolio of airborne systems with the introduction of the Aviator S Series. The technology is expected to be certified by EASA in mid-2018 and will be showcased at this year's NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas.

One Aviation has received FAA approval for an unrestricted increase in the structural life limit of the Eclipse 550 and the Eclipse 500 in the extended tip tank configuration to 20,000 flight hours or 20,000 cycles, whichever occurs first. Previously the life limit had been 10,000 cycles, 10,000 hours or 10 years.

Raisbeck Engineering has launched its composite five-blade swept propeller for the King Air 350 in collaboration with Hartzell Propeller.

StandardAero Aviation Holdings and Airbus SE have entered into exclusive negotiations for the acquisition by StandardAero of global MRO Vector Aerospace Holding SAS from Airbus.

AviationGlass & Technology, a Dutch company specialising in the research, development and production of glass products for the aviation industry, has had its AeroGlass products confirmed by EASA as the official certification baseline for glass parts inside the cabin.
