Why visit ACE ’24?
William Hynett has been appointed chief executive of B-N Group Limited, the defence contractor which manufactures the Defender 4000. Hynett is a former Royal Navy pilot who went on to become a defence consultant to multinational defence contractors.
In recent months he has held
the position of marketing director at B-N Group.
Interest in the Islander regional commuter aircraft has been stimulated by B-N’s announcement last year that the company had committed to the construction of
24 new aircraft, whilst the 18-seat single-pilot Trislander aircraft has caused much interest since the announcement that the production line has been reopened.
Emirates Air Services (EAS) of
Abu Dhabi has also been appointed by B-N Group (BNG) as its sales
and support representative in the GCC region.
The move is the latest development in BNG’s marketing drive in support of the Defender, which the company says is attracting increasing levels of interest from military, police and security forces in the GCC region.
The agreement between BNG and EAS was concluded in the private office of His Excellency Abdullah Al Masaood during the International Defence Exhibition and Conference. EAS will also have marketing rights in the GCC region to Britten-Norman’s Islander and Trislander.
