Second Titanic pull for charity scheduled

July 1, 2010:

Teams of 20 will on 8 August attempt to pull London Stansted-based Titan Airway's 30,000 kg Boeing 737-300 (pictured) a distance of 50 metres, with the proceeds raised being donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Ferndown-based John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation.

The aircraft, based at Bournemouth for the last four years, regularly undertakes private charter. Richard Griffin, one of the event organisers, says: "The inaugural event in 2009 raised more than £7,000 for charity."
