CHC will provide dedicated aircraft for the HAP stage of the project from Cabo Frio to deliver a programme of maintenance, upgrades and repairs on the floating production storage and offloading vessel.

CHC Brazil will operate five AW139s from bases in Campos dos Goytacazes and Vitória to support five exclusive contracts with Petrobras. It means an overall fleet growth to around 10 medium and large aircraft.

H-TAWS has primarily been adopted in two helicopter industry mission segments: HEMS and offshore. Now CHC is teaming with Shell and Leonardo to bring the technology into play in the oil and gas sector generally.
