Central Helicopter Service takes delivery of third D-3

This latest fleet addition, Central Helicopter's second BK117 D-3, has a five-blade main rotor, increased useful load weight of approx 150 kg and longer maintenance intervals.
CHS will be first in Asia to fly Kawasaki/Airbus BK117 D-3

Since the first BK117 was delivered in 1983, the model has undergone constant evolution. The D-3 variant has been jointly developed by Kawasaki and Airbus Helicopters Germany and will be used in Japan by CHS.
