JetHost hosts first jet in Copenhagen
Aircraft at Roskilde airport can now be booked into the lap of luxury, with underfloor heating, courtesy of a new hangarage option. Copenhagen can be quite cold, so it is sure to be popular.
JetHost says its hangar is unique at Roskilde in that it can accommodate large-cabin jets or more than one super-midsize jet.

The JetHost hangar at Roskilde airport near Copenhagen has opened its doors, with a Learjet the first aircraft to cross the threshold at the end of June. At 12 metres tall, the hangar can accommodate any large cabin jet or at least two super midsize aircraft.

"The capacity of the hangar is attractive to most jet owners and operators, as is the central location in the airport with an open apron on the east side," says partner Helgi Dyremose. "We are seeing interest in renting parking space in the heated hangar and expect more demand as we move from word of mouth to more active marketing through our web site."

Owing to its 'sandwich' construction with isolating material and underfloor heating, energy consumption in the building is expected to be half that of many existing hangars.

Joint partner Brian Max Knudsen adds: "Having worked closely with suppliers and in all weather conditions for the past year, it is very fulfilling to have the first jet parked in our 1,340 sqm hangar. We will now finish the construction of the 400 sqm of office space and hope to soon announce the first tenant."
