London Biggin Hill-headquartered Voluxis has appointed Andrew Boxer Missen as director of flight operations. Boxer Missen held the same post for the Royal Air Force's No. 32 (The Royal) Squadron, serving with the RAF for 17 years until 2013. His most recent post was fleet and client aircraft manager for CTC Aviation, now L3 Commercial Training Solutions.

Commercial director Sam Heather says: "Our objective is to be recognised as the best in class in every department of the operation, and we are committed to building up a team with the experience needed to achieve this. Andrew brings a huge amount of the expertise that we are looking for. He has flown the Queen and many members of the British royal family, as well as three UK prime ministers during his time with the RAF.

"This experience, combined with his most recent role, stands him in perfect stead for managing our fleet. His role with us is to ensure that all aspects of the operation are conducted to the highest possible standards and deliver the ultimate customer experience to our passengers. We are hoping that his experience will bring us up to a royal standard."

Boxer Missen states: "My aim as DFO is to develop Voluxis into an efficient and high quality operation where things are done properly without shortcuts. The highest of standards in everything we do will ensure safe operations while delivering the best possible service to our clients."
