Global 7000 has longer legs and revolutionary Nuage seating
It is a very appropriate name, Nuage - the French for 'cloud'. The Global 7000's new seat is a comfy recliner that can glide back and forth and provide a proper headrest. Just what you need when nearing the end of a 7,700nm trip.

Bombardier's Global 7000 now has an extended range of 7,700 nm, which is 300 nm longer than the manufacturer originally committed to. “When we launched the aircraft we knew it wouldn't have any peer and that it is a no-compromise machine,” states manager of communications and public affairs Anna Cristofaro. “It is unparalleled for performance in the industry, and it will appeal to a broad range of customers who are looking for high comfort and range.”

Set for entry into service in the second half of this year, the Global 7000 will feature a new seat, the Nuage, which Bombardier claims represents the first significant change in the operation and design of a business aircraft seat in 30 years. Its design centres on passenger comfort and ergonomics, and features a tilting head rest, a floating base and an innovative recline position.

Cristofaro hopes that the 7000 will be the aircraft of choice in the Middle East and Africa: “It is in a class of its own,” she continues. “We displayed the mock-up at the Jetex private terminal in Dubai earlier this year to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Our customers in the Middle East will appreciate its extended range and exceptional cabin comfort, but also its ability to operate in and out of London City airport during trips from Dubai.

“The jet will also offer new possibilities in Africa, an increasingly important region where the business jet fleet has grown at an impressive rate in the last 10 years. As industry and opportunities in Africa continue to grow, the Global 7000 is ideally suited for conducting business across continents. It can connect Boston and Johannesburg, for example.”

Bombardier's in-house training department is developing the courseware to aid the transition of pilots on to the type.
