Stobart leads the way for summer night flights
Nightbirds will be delighted to know that at least one London airport will be open for business 24/7 this summer.

London Southend airport's private jet facility Stobart Jet Centre (SJC) will continue to serve the UK capital 24/7 when night flying restrictions come into force this summer.

From 1 June to 30 September, London Stansted is offering a limited number of ad hoc night time slots, while Luton will be closed completely between 2300 and 0600 during this time, with only ambulance and humanitarian flights permitted. The rules have come into force as night flight embargoes and noise quotas have been exceeded. Southend will not be subject to the restrictions.

MD at SJC Stephen Grimes says: "We have invested heavily in making our facility the most comfortable and efficient to use for our VVIP passengers and it is already being recognised by operators as one of the easiest for access into London. With aircraft parking space for as many as 12 BBJs, the convenience of Southend for central London is going to be enhanced further when we are the only FBO that can facilitate operators at night during the busy summer period."

Grimes continued, " We are ready to welcome customers from across the globe and believe that once they have tried our FBO for the first time, they will not look back."
