Hadid International Services and Riviera airport (LIMG) in northern Italy are forming Riviera Executive Aviation, which will manage the onsite FBO. Located in Villanova d'Albenga in Liguria, Riviera airport is one of the first privatised airports in Italy dedicated to business aviation. It serves the Italian Riviera and provides easy access to Monaco and the French Riviera.

Plans are under way for a new terminal, hangars and maintenance facilities as well as other major infrastructure. An extension of the runway from 1,500 to 1,700 metres is in the pipeline, as is an upgrade of its navigational aids to better support takeoff and landing procedures.

Hadid is headquartered in Dubai and has more than 35 years of experience providing flight support services. It already has EMEA offices in the UK and Niger.

Riviera airport chairman Clemens Toussaint says: “We are delighted to develop this beautiful airport on the Italian coastline with our partner from Dubai. Hadid is a leader in private aviation and will provide high quality services to guests. This will be the cornerstone of developing the airport into a success.”

Hadid chairman Mohamad Hadid adds: “Riviera airport has significant potential to become the foremost business aviation airport in the region. Our companies share the vision of developing infrastructure to serve growing demand and benefit the local economy and community.”
