Lom Praha in the Czech Republic has signed a contract for six Enstrom 480B-G turbine helicopters. Czech Enstrom representatives Dan Tucek and Roland VanHees coordinated the marketing, flight demonstrations, sales support and contract negotiations for the deal.

The 480B-G is equipped with the glass cockpit Garmin G1000H. This equipment, coupled with the stability and manoeuvrability of the aircraft, makes it well suited to training applications. “We looked at several aircraft models prior to deciding on the 480B-G,” says CEO Miroslav Hejna. “We believe the aircraft and the Enstrom team are the best choice for the long term.”

The contract stipulates that two units will be delivered early in 2018, followed by four more later in the year. This also includes spares, tools, and pilot and maintenance training at the factory. Of the six helicopters, Lom Praha will be using four for training military pilots, and the remaining two for commercial candidates.
