Aeros acquires second Alsim AL42
Alsim has sold a second AL42 FNPT II simulator to Aeros Flight Training for its academy in Gloucester, UK.

Alsim has sold a second AL42 FNPT II simulator to Aeros Flight Training for its academy in Gloucester, UK. The ATO ordered an initial AL42 last year for its Coventry headquarters and, following a successful trial, decided to proceed with this second order. The latest sim will be delivered this winter.

Aeros MD Nicholas Dunn states: “We started using the Alsim AL42 last year and are very happy with this device. It is very accurate and exactly replicates the DA42, which makes the transition to the aircraft seamless and allows us to deliver maximum simulator help to students before they fly the aircraft for real. This convinced us to buy a second one, which will be located in our Gloucester academy.

“We have been working very closely for the last 15 months with Alsim's after-sales service and the team has always answered our requests quickly and efficiently. When we considered a second unit, there was no question about where to buy it.”

Along with its Coventry headquarters and Gloucester facility, Aeros Flight Training has academies in Cardiff, Nottingham and Stratford upon Avon, with Doncaster due to open at the start of next year. It has a fleet of 47 aircraft ranging from Cessna 152s to glass cockpit Diamond DA42s and Tecnam P2006Ts.
