Piaggio Aerospace will be bringing its Avanti EVO to Air Charter Expo (ACE17), which takes place on 12 September at London Biggin Hill airport. Organised by EBAN and BACA – The Air Charter Association, ACE is the international exhibition dedicated to the air charter industry and addressed to global operators and brokers.

Piaggio will have a stand at booth 108 and will showcase an Avanti EVO on the indoor static display. The EVO is the third generation of the P.180 and offers superior climb performance, fuel savings and lower emissions compared to other aircraft in its class, along with a stand-up cabin.

CEO Renato Vaghi says: “We are participating in ACE for the first time and the reason for doing so is that we are committed to promoting the P.180 aircraft globally and in the UK market, which we consider strategic for our growth.

“Air charterers and operators are crucial for the development of the business aviation industry. With our state-of-the-art Avanti EVO we are promoting a luxurious and eco-friendly way of travelling that complies with fast-moving environmental and cost-saving requirements. Our primary goal is to continue to put our customers first by offering the highest level of support.”

The EVO is a development of the Avanti and the Avanti II, which have already made footprints in the US and European market. Roughly 50 per cent of the Piaggio fleet is located in the US at the time of writing. The OEM is now looking to ramp up production, since moving two years ago to a new production plant at Villanova D'Albenga, halfway between Genoa and Nice.
