RAS repaints fourth Luxembourg air ambulance
London Biggin Hill-based RAS Completions has delivered a fourth livery for Luxembourg Air Ambulance.

London Biggin Hill-based RAS Completions has delivered a fourth livery for Luxembourg Air Ambulance. Having arrived in a grey finish, the Learjet 45XR's interior was stripped down to the bare metal, exterior surfaces were primed and, with supervision from director Chris Ransley, the paint scheme was completed within three weeks. Ransley says: "We believe our work is a very important aspect of any aircraft operations as we are creating the first impression for a customer when they see the aircraft for the first time. This makes it imperative we perform our activities to the highest standard when repainting any aircraft.

"Appearance is vital to an aircraft operator as a clean, bright looking aircraft will give the customer the feeling of comfort and reassure them that the aircraft has been well-maintained and well cared for."

Along with aircraft painting, RAS' interiors division is able to carry out the refurbishment of interior components and soft trim while the aircraft is in the hangar during a repaint. "Rather than investing valuable time and money taking the aircraft from one facility to another, our ability to repair and refurbish all flooring, wood veneer, seating, stowage, lavatory and galley components while the aircraft is being painted is a factor that sets RAS apart from our competition." Ransley adds: "2017 has been a very busy year for us and we will continue with a busy schedule for the remainder of this year working on some business aviation aircraft interior and exterior refurbishments along with new build monuments and cabinetry work. We look forward to our upcoming projects and the next steps in expanding our facilities and approvals."
