The Russian United Business Aviation Association (RUBAA) is organising a conference at The Aerostar Hotel in Moscow on 6 September, the day before the opening of JetExpo 2017. The agenda will be determined by RUBAA members and registration is free of charge.

Gulfstream Aerospace has appointed Steven Plumridge as general manager of its service centre at London Luton airport. Plumridge will oversee all aspects of the Gulfstream Luton MRO, which employs close to 260 staff. Prior to his appointment, Plumridge was Gulfstream Luton's quality manager and chief inspector. He joined Gulfstream in 2014 as a continuing airworthiness manager.

The African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) has named ExecuJet South Africa's Lanseria facility in Johannesburg as the first venue for its AfBAC Expo. The event will run from 29 November to 1 December and will include a two-day exhibition and static display at the 18,000 sqm facility.

XTI Aircraft Company has taken deposit payments for the sale of the first three production units of its TriFan 600 vertical takeoff aircraft to an undisclosed operator. Says CEO Robert LaBelle: “We've received strong interest from potential buyers who want to reserve one of the first TriFans. We expect these first orders to be followed by many more over the next few months and years.”

Parker Aerospace has been selected by Textron Aviation as the supplier for the main wheels, main brakes, and nosewheel on the Cessna Denali single engine turboprop aircraft. The Denali is currently in development.

Boeing subsidiary Aviall has signed an agreement with GE Aviation to become the preferred provider of CFM56-7B parts and engines for in-service Boeing Business Jets.

Air Total has been awarded the contract to supply all aviation fuels for three years by Cornwall Airport Newquay in the UK.

Safran Helicopter Engines has received EASA engine type certification for its Ardiden 3G engine, which powers Russian Helicopters' Ka-62. The helicopter made its official maiden flight on 25 May, 2017.

UK flight support provider Flightworx has passed its first annual continuing assessment of the ISO 9001 standard that it was awarded in 2016. ISO 9001 is a voluntary global code of best practices for companies, assessed through a quality management system.

Astronautics Corporation of America will provide its newest connectivity platform, the Astronautics Air Ground Communications System, to Airbus Helicopters' range of in-production helicopters. “The Astronautics AGCS will provide Airbus Helicopters with a connectivity solution designed specifically for helicopters with the latest certification regulations,” says Astronautics president Chad Cundiff. “Helicopter operators will realise enhanced operational and safety benefits through real-time data access.”
