Aeronav Academy, a flight school based in Lanseria, South Africa, has ordered an ALX light turboprop simulator from Alsim. The FSTO will be used to complement Aeronav's theory and flight training and to extend its training offering to include advanced topics such as RNAV and TCAS.

“The ALX can be configured for different uses, from single engine aeroplanes for early training such as for the night rating, to advanced training such as MCC and radar in the light turboprop twin,” says MD Donald O'Connor. “The panel layout is consistent with modern design and has an emphasis on the glass cockpit, which is the same as our DA42. Graphics, control feel and response are amazingly realistic.”
