Kampala Executive Aviation (KEA) has renewed its contract with Total Uganda to provide rotary wing services to the oil corporation using a Bell 412 EP. As part of the contract, which was first signed in 2015, KEA supplies passenger transportation and casualty evacuation between its base at Kajjansi airfield near Kampala and the Lake Albert exploration blocks in western Uganda. It also assists Total's operations in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. “We were incorporated in August 2008 and are fully licensed for aircraft operations under the Uganda CAA and ICAO,” says marketing director Isabella Tustanovska.

“We are a global specialist aviation services provider for commercial and government clients. We offer quality solutions for the most complex aviation requirements no matter how austere the environment.”

The company has a fleet of more than 18 aircraft and can provide passenger and cargo charter, VIP transport, medical evacuation and a range of geophysical and aerial survey services, as well as supply chain logistics and project management.

“Our PC-12 is a standout aircraft and has a reputation for versatility, performance and operational flexibility, holding its own with the elegant business jet crowd in Monaco but also durable and tough enough to land on most unimproved and rugged runways,” Tustanovska adds. “The Beechcraft 1900D, a 19-seater designed to carry passengers in all-weather conditions from airports with relatively short runways, serves as great freight aircraft as well as a corporate transport machine. And of course our Cessna Caravan 208B, a champion of the roughest bush airstrips, is able to take passengers and cargo just about anywhere.

“Our plan for this year is to set ourselves up as a leading contract aviation company with a focus on mining, oil and gas.”
