Bristol, UK-based Centreline Air Charter (CAC) has secured the contract to operate the UK's only Legacy 500 and will be offering it for charter from the end of this month. The operator, which is a subsidiary of the Bristol Flying Centre Group (BFC), took delivery of the factory new nine-seat jet at its Bristol base in March, and the process to transfer it to the CAC AOC is under way.

With a range of more than 3,100 nm, even from relatively short runways, the L500 will open up to charter customers destinations such as the former CIS, Greece and the Canary Islands. The jet is only the second of its type in Europe and brings the number of aircraft in the CAC fleet to nine.

“To be able to bring yet another aircraft type into our fleet, and to be the first in the UK to offer charter customers the option of the versatile Legacy 500, is really exciting,” says BFC commercial director Phil Brockwell. “We are looking forward to demonstrating the benefits of this beautiful new aircraft to brokers. We have stated clearly that our goal is to diversify the type of aircraft in our fleet and operating this Legacy as another step in meeting that goal.”

In February, Pula Aviation acquired 100 per cent of the share capital of BFC and has continued the strategy of the existing management.
