After 14 years of commercial activities at Lee-on-Solent airfield in the UK, Atlas Helicopters has decided to relocate its entire operation to Lasham airfield in Hampshire as of March.

“The dynamics of the business have changed over recent years and when the opportunity arose to relocate, it was decided this would be the best way to move us forward,” comments MD Mike Burns.

“Considerable developments are taking place at Lee-on-Solent airfield under the new ownership of Fareham Borough Council. However, the plans for the airfield did not meet our future growth expectations and this made it an ideal time to move elsewhere.

“We will be very sorry to leave, but we look forward to starting afresh and furthering our relationships with our friends and colleagues in the industry,” Burns concludes.

An office refurbishment was due to be complete towards the end of February. Atlas operates the AS355 and Agusta A109E rotorcraft.
