UK-based Bristol Flying Centre (BFC) has become the first organisation in Europe to gain the qualifications for both type training and examination of pilots of the Cessna Citation M2. The news follows the delivery of the first European M2 in January of this year and the first available for charter in Europe in April.

The centre is home to an established ATO authorised by the UK CAA and EASA to train pilots across Europe and ICAO membership states. It offers type ratings for the King Air B200, 100 and 90 series and the CitationJet C525 series, of which the M2 is a derivative.

BFC's flight training is managed by three experienced professionals with over 25,000 combined hours; each is a qualified type rating and instrument rating examiner. Head of training Julian Telling comments: “As one of the leading training providers in Europe for the CitationJet it was a natural progression for us to increase our qualifications further to reflect the development of the aircraft. Not only do our aircraft management customers gain from having the most advanced training facility available, but the wider community of users of these jets know that they have easy access to an essential provider.”
