Donald J Trump's The Trump Organization has entered into an official partnership with Glasgow Prestwick airport. Prestwick has been selected as the Scottish base for all Trump Aviation operations, which include his private Boeing 757 and Sikorsky 76B helicopter. Prestwick will serve as the main hub for this private flight department, and will also service the £250 million Trump Turnberry Resort, a golf and resort property 20 miles south of the airport.

Trump says: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Glasgow Prestwick airport. It is a tremendous facility with a unique and rich history, and its expert team and state-of-the-art operation is perfectly aligned with our global client and member base, which travels frequently to Scotland.”

As part of the partnership, Trump and Prestwick will be offering transfers via the Trump helicopter, executive cars or private hire.

“We are very excited to be working closely with The Trump Organization and are delighted that Prestwick has been chosen to be the European base for the Sikorsky helicopter,” adds Prestwick ceo Iain Cochrane. “Forging a partnership will be mutually beneficial and will also bring significant opportunities for Turnberry Resort.”

Earlier this year Trump finalised his purchase of the Turnberry golf resort and has since begun a £200 million redevelopment, with improvements dedicated to the Ailsa course as well as the hotel and related amenities.
