FlairJet has broadened its range of managed business aircraft with the introduction of a factory-new Citation Mustang and King Air 350i. The Mustang offers four-passenger club seating and will be based at Birmingham airport, complementing the operator's Oxford and Luton bases.

The King Air has been acquired through Marshall Aviation Services, as UK and Ireland distributor of the Beechcraft family, and will arrive straight from Textron Aviation's Wichita hq in early August. The aircraft will reside at Hawarden airport, north Wales, at Marshall's Hawker Beechcraft customer support facility. Both aircraft join a fleet which already includes two Phenom 100s, a Citation XLS and a Bravo.

FlairJet has trained three pilots on the Mustang and is training up a further three recruits to fly the 350i at FlightSafety International. It was the first business jet operator in the UK to achieve EASA Ops approval earlier in the summer.

FlairJet ceo David Fletcher comments: “I am excited by the addition of both types to the FlairJet AOC. The King Air 350i opens up a host of new airports for our charter clients and the Mustang was a natural addition to our Phenom 100 fleet.”

The Mustang is a high performance VLJ ideal for customers looking for a flight time of under one hour. With a range of 1,150 nm and the ability to land on short runways, it is versatile and suited for popular charter destinations such as Dublin and Paris at an entry level cost. Additionally, based in Birmingham, it will provide first class travellers arriving on international long haul flights from destinations such as Dubai, New York, Beijing and Delhi with a swift connection to any further destination in Europe.

The latest King Air 350i features a classically designed, quiet and spacious interior with eight seats in a standard double club configuration. Its range is 1,714 nm and the aircraft has ample baggage storage.
